Why Arbitra
A vast market, poorly served.
The OHADA area brings together 17 States and several hundred thousand legal professionals. Access to reliable legal information nonetheless remains the exception rather than the norm.
17
Member States of the OHADA area, around a common body of business law
~400M
Inhabitants in the area covered by the OHADA treaty
Thousands
CCJA rulings that remain barely indexed, if at all
The problem
Harmonised law, but access that stayed fragmented.
OHADA law harmonised business law across the whole zone - but practical access to that information remains scattered across heterogeneous sources, rarely centralised and poorly suited to rigorous research. The general-purpose legal tools that exist are not calibrated for the specifics of this area, and access to quality expertise remains costly for a large share of the region's professionals and SMEs.
Our approach
Reliability before speed.
Systematic human validation
No content is published without a quality check by a dedicated team. The status « Published » is a human decision, never an automatic publication - a non-negotiable principle for a profession where a citation error has a real cost.
A corpus built with rigour
Every document added to the corpus goes through a quality control process before publication, with full traceability down to the exact page of the source. Trust is built document by document, not in a day.
